Hello, I am Kat!

Mama to an adopted special needs son from China.  I trained as a Montessori teacher and have worked in both Montessori schools and trained  future Montessori teachers.  Most recently I have been working in a local Pre-School.  I also have a BA in Communications, where I looked at language acquisition and use.  Due to my son’s needs I have qualifications in Makaton and Cued Articulation. 

 I have a love of phonics and believe it is the best way to learn to read and spell.  Our classes are high energy and great fun so your child won’t realise they are learning.  As well as phonics we promote the development of listening skills and have activities to help with gross and fine motor control. 

 I believe all children have the capacity to learn in the right environment and we are setting out to create that environment for them.
